However, the key to this type of training is an essential part of basic training the Dane puppy. As a first step you should have your puppy wear a collar. You need to teach the Great Dane Puppies how to lean. The puppy must be on your left and then you can start walking. Talk to your puppy and try to pay attention, becoming the most important thing in the puppy sight. When the dog gets distracted, start running, call the puppy and say “lean” and go for a U-turn abruptly. Great Dane Puppies – Come:

This order is the basic training will teach your Great Dane puppy from the first day you bring the dog home. As with all basic commands you must call the puppy name first and then tell an order of a single word, for instance: “Peter, come!”. Say this order with a strong voice. When the dog obeys, praise him or her. If you have problems getting your puppy come to you study the technique. Never say “come” in an angry tone of voice or to challenge your dog. “Come” should be considered a positive behavior.

You can also teach you to sit offering food as a reward. You can always use a cookie! “Sit” is an excellent order to congratulate a puppy. Once the puppies understand that, they will feel welcomed. You should not worry about little details, for instance your puppy can jump to you or others for attention and that is absolutely normal.
